Pacific Fleet flagship Guard missile cruiser Varyag and tanker Irkut have arrived in Vancouver for a series of events in commemoration of servicemen killed in armed conflicts.
Both warships will moor downtown Vancouver. Local residents will be allowed to visit the ships on Wednesday and Thursday.
On November 11th, Russian sailors will lay flowers to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Varyag and Irkut will leave Vancouver for high seas.
The two ships will return to their base in Vladivostok at the beginning of December.
