Ik denk dat deze meneer meer dan voldoende schade heeft veroorzaakt met zijn industriële manier van aanpak.

Beginning in late April 2003, when the first civilian cargo planes begin arriving in Baghdad (see Late April 2003), through at least 2007, Victor Bout front companies fly supplies into Iraq for the US military. Bout is the world's biggest arms dealer, with links to the Taliban, al-Qaeda, and other militant and rebel groups around the world. The United Nations has banned all business dealings with his companies since before 9/11. Around October 2003, the CIA apparently learns that Bout's planes have been flying into Iraq, but this warning does not lead to any action to stop such flights. [Farah and Braun, 2007, pp. 232]
Bout Flights Exposed by Media - Starting in May 2004, various newspapers occasionally report on how Bout front companies are supplying the US military. Some actions are eventually taken against him. For instance, on July 22, 2004, President Bush signs an executive order declaring Bout a "specially designated person," permanently freezes his assets, and bans all US business with his companies. [Farah and Braun, 2007, pp. 225, 237]
Continued Collaboration - But the US military continues to hire Bout's companies for Iraq supply flights. One Bout front company alone is estimated to make about 1,000 flights into US controlled air bases in Iraq by the end of 2004. [Farah and Braun, 2007, pp. 225] A Pentagon spokesman will later confirm that the US military gave at least 500,000 gallons of free airplane fuel to Bout's pilots. US government contractors pay Bout-controlled companies roughly $60 million to fly supplies into Iraq. [ABC News, 3/6/2008] Journalist Stephen Braun will later claim, "The US military insisted they had no responsibility for Bout's hiring, because, as [Deputy Defense Secretary] Paul Wolfowitz said, he was a 'second-tier contractor'-in other words, hired by, say, [Kellogg, Brown, and Root] or FedEx, not directly by the Army or the Marines. But there were other reports of direct contracts. [The Defense Department] made no effort to put Bout on a no-fly list early on, and made only perfunctory follow-up efforts to find out the backgrounds of the companies flying for them." Bout Flights Continue - In early 2006, it will be reported, "The New Republic has learned that the Defense Department has largely turned a blind eye to Bout's activities and has continued to supply him with contracts, in violation of [Bush's] executive order and despite the fact that other, more legitimate air carriers are available." [New Republic, 1/12/2006] In 2008, Douglas Farah, who co-wrote a 2007 book with Braun about Bout, will tell ABC News that Bout may have worked on behalf of the US government as recently as 2007. Outrage - Gayle Smith of the National Security Council will comment in 2007: "It's an obscenity. It's contrary to a smart war on terror. Even if you needed a cut-out (to transport supplies) why would you go to the one on the bottom of the pile, with the most blood on his hands? Because he worked fastest and cheapest? What's the trade-off? Where's the morality there?" National Security Council adviser Lee Wolosky, who led a US effort to apprehend Bout before 9/11, will similarly complain, "It befuddles the mind that the Pentagon would continue to work with an organization that both the Clinton and Bush White Houses actively fought to dismantle." [Farah and Braun, 2007, pp. 237]
Theories - Some officials and experts believe the US military is simply being incompetent by repeatedly hiring Bout. Others suggest there was some kind of secret deal. For instance, one senior Belgian Foreign Ministry official involved in efforts to try to arrest Bout comments: "Not only does Bout have the protection of the US government, he now works for them as well. It's incredible, amazing. It has to be the only reason why he is still around and free." [Farah and Braun, 2007, pp. 224-225] In 2006, Bout's companies will supply weapons to Hezbollah in Lebanon (see July 2006) and an al-Qaeda linked militant group in Somalia (see Late July 2006). In February 2002, the Belgian government secretly indicts Victor Bout, the world's biggest illegal arms dealer, on charges of money laundering and illegal weapons trafficking. For the first time, he can be legally arrested and Interpol issues a secret arrest warrant for him anywhere in the world. Later that month, solid intelligence indicates Bout is going to be on a flight from Moldova to Greece. An encrypted message is sent by British intelligence field agents once the plane takes off, alerting their superiors in London that they are preparing to arrest Bout in Athens. But shortly after the message is sent, Bout's plane veers away from its flight plan and disappears off radar screens into mountainous terrain. It reappears on radar about ninety minutes later and lands in Athens. British special forces raid the plane, but find it empty except for the pilot and a few passengers. One European intelligence official familiar with the operation will later say, "There were only two intelligence services that could have decrypted the British transmission in so short a time. The Russians and the Americans. And we know for sure it was not the Russians." [Farah and Braun, 2007, pp. 202-203] It has been alleged that the US began secretly working with Bout shortly after 9/11, despite his previous connections to the Taliban (see Shortly After September 11, 2001).

In 2007, Los Angeles Times journalist Steven Braun, coauthor of a book on arms dealer Victor Bout, will claim, "We now know that one of Bout's pals approached an American intelligence agent soon after the [9/11] attacks, suggesting that the US use his operation in arming the Northern Alliance against the Taliban and al-Qaeda. We don't know for sure if the US accepted, but European intelligence officials believe a relationship blossomed. Within two years, Bout was flying for us not only in Iraq, but also in Afghanistan." [Harper's, 7/26/2007] The Bout associate Braun refers to is Sanjivan Ruprah. In November 2001, Ruprah contacts an FBI agent and offers a deal. He and Bout will secretly help the US arm the Northern Alliance in its fight against the Taliban, and help the US gain information on al-Qaeda and other militant groups. He and Bout would provide and deliver many millions of dollars' worth of weapons that the Northern Alliance has already told Bout that they need. It is unclear if the deal ever goes through, and some experts and officials doubt it. However, one European official will later say, "We know Bout had his aircraft near Afghanistan and made them available to the US efforts almost immediately. They needed him and he had the only airlift capacity in the region.... The deal was, if he flew, the US would leave him alone." Richard Chichakli, a close associate of Bout's, will later boast that Bout organized three flights carrying US personnel to Afghanistan. (He will later withdraw the claim.) Ruprah twice flies to the US for secret talks with the FBI about such deals, despite being on a UN travel ban list. Such contacts are kept secret from US officials attempting to arrest Bout. Ruprah will be arrested in Belgium in February 2002, and documents found in his possession are the only reason anything is known about his secret talks with the FBI. Two months later, he is freed on bail and immediately skips the country. He is soon arrested in Italy, then curiously freed on bail again, and then escapes again. He has not been rearrested since. [Farah and Braun, 2007, pp. 194-202] Prior to 9/11, Bout was the main arms dealer for the Taliban, greatly assisting al-Qaeda in the process. He had been supplying weapons to the Northern Alliance until about 1996, but switched sides once the Taliban gained the upper hand in the conflict (see October 1996-Late 2001). But despite these alleged US ties, it 2002 it will be reported that Bout has recently been helping al-Qaeda and the Taliban transport gold (see Summer 2002). He will work for the US military in Iraq in 2003 (see Late April 2003-2007).

New United Nations sanctions against Afghanistan take effect, adding to those from November 1999 (see November 14, 1999). The sanctions limit travel by senior Taliban authorities, freeze bin Laden's and the Taliban's assets, and order the closure of Ariana Airlines offices abroad. The sanctions also impose an arms embargo against the Taliban, but not against Northern Alliance forces battling the Taliban. [Associated Press, 12/19/2000] The arms embargo has no visible effect because the sanctions fail to stop Pakistani military assistance. [9/11 Commission, 3/24/2004] The sanctions also fail to stop the illegal trade network that the Taliban is secretly running through Ariana. Two companies, Air Cess and Flying Dolphin, take over most of Ariana's traffic. Air Cess is owned by the Russian arms dealer Victor Bout (see Mid-1996-October 2001), and Flying Dolphin is owned by the United Arab Emirates' former ambassador to the US, who is also an associate of Bout. In late 2000, despite reports linking Flying Dolphin to arms smuggling, the United Nations will give Flying Dolphin permission to take over Ariana's closed routes, which it does until the new sanctions take effect. Bout's operations are still functioning and he has not been arrested. Zelfde is gebeurd met Henk Romney (alias de zwarte cobra) die had een gesprek met undercover DEA- agenten op de Bahamas die XTC pillen wilde hebben, hij gaf tussen neus en lippen door dat wel te kunnen regelen en zit nu dus al enkele jaren vast in de VS, zonder dat hij ze daadwerkelijk geleverd heeft.

Russian arms merchant Victor Bout, who has been selling weapons to Afghanistan's Northern Alliance since 1992, switches sides, and begins selling weapons to the Taliban and al-Qaeda instead. In one trade in 1996, Bout's company delivers at least 40 tons of Russian weapons to the Taliban, earning about $50 million. [Guardian, 2/16/2002] Two intelligence agencies later confirm that Bout trades with the Taliban "on behalf of the Pakistan government." In late 2000, several Ukrainians sell 150 to 200 T-55 and T-62 tanks to the Taliban in a deal conducted by the ISI, and Bout helps fly the tanks to Afghanistan. [Gazette (Montreal), 2/5/2002] Bout formerly worked for the Russian KGB, and now operates the world's largest private weapons transport network. Based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bout operates freely there until well after 9/11. The US becomes aware of Bout's widespread illegal weapons trading in Africa in 1995, and of his ties to the Taliban in 1996, but they fail to take effective action against him for years. [Los Angeles Times, 5/19/2002] US pressure on the UAE in November 2000 to close down Bout's operations there is ignored. Press reports calling him "the merchant of death" also fail to pressure the UAE. [Financial Times, 6/10/2000; Guardian, 12/23/2000] After President Bush is elected, it appears the US gives up trying to get Bout, until after 9/11. [Washington Post, 2/26/2002; Guardian, 4/17/2002] Bout moves to Russia in 2002. He is seemingly protected from prosecution by the Russian government, which in early 2002 will claim, "There are no grounds for believing that this Russian citizen has committed illegal acts." [Guardian, 4/17/2002] The Guardian suggests that Bout may have worked with the CIA when he traded with the Northern Alliance, and this fact may be hampering current international efforts to catch him. NEW YORK - Een jury in New York heeft de voormalige Russische wapenhandelaar Viktor Bout woensdag schuldig bevonden aan onder meer wapenhandel, steun aan een terroristische organisatie en samenzwering met moord als doel.

Bout stond terecht omdat hij zou hebben geprobeerd onder meer raketten te verkopen aan mensen van wie hij dacht dat het Colombiaanse militanten waren die Amerikaanse militairen wilden aanvallen. Hij kan levenslang krijgen.

Bout, een voormalige luchtmachtofficier van het Rode Leger, werd in maart 2008 gearresteerd in een hotel in de Thaise hoofdstad Bangkok.
Wapendeal

Hij sloot een wapendeal met agenten van de Amerikaanse Drugs Enforcement Agency (DEA), die zich uitgaven voor leden van de militante FARC-beweging uit Colombia. Bout zou hebben gezegd dat hij raketten, vuurwapens en miljoenen stuks munitie kon leveren, naast een partij landmijnen en andere explosieven.

De DEA-informanten zouden tegen Bout hebben gezegd dat de wapens bestemd waren om Amerikaanse piloten aan te vallen die de regering van Colombia ondersteunden.


In beroep

Meteen na de beslissing van de jury gaf Bout aan in beroep te gaan. ''Dit is zeker nog niet het einde van het proces'', aldus zijn advocaat.
De raadsman hield de jury voor dat de belofte van Bout om 100 geavanceerde draagbare luchtdoelraketten en zo'n 5000 geweren te leveren, vals waren. Hij zou zo de FARC-vertegenwoordigers alleen maar willen lokken, om ze daarna te interesseren in het kopen van twee van zijn oude vrachtvliegtuigen.


Lord of War

Bout (44) stond bekend als een van de grootste handelaars ter wereld op de zwarte markt voor wapens. Een boek over hem had de titel Merchant of Death (Handelaar in de Dood) en een film die was gebaseerd op zijn praktijken heette Lord of War.

Volgens de Verenigde Naties is hij verantwoordelijk is voor wapenleveranties aan krijgsheren in landen als Afghanistan, de Democratische Republiek Congo, Liberia, Rwanda en Sudan.

Bout heeft hiervoor tot op heden niet terechtgestaan, hoewel aanklagers jarenlang jacht op hem maakten. Een DEA-functionaris omschreef Bout als ''een van de gevaarlijkste mensen op aarde''.

#Wapenhandel Bout claimt slechts verhuurder van vrachtvliegtuigen te zijn.

Een van de grootste wapensmokkelaars ter wereld mag morgen de rechter vertellen wat hij allemaal weet.

In Moskou zitten heel wat hooggeplaatste Russen zenuwachtig op hun stoel heen en weer te schuiven. Morgen begint het proces tegen Viktor Anatoljevitsj Bout (1967), volgens vele experts een van de grootste wapensmokkelaars die de wereld ooit heeft gekend. In onderzoeken van de VN wordt de Rus aangewezen als voornaamste leverancier van kalasjnikovs, raketwerpers en munitie ten tijde van burgeroorlogen in de jaren negentig en begin deze eeuw in Congo, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Soedan en Afghanistan, ondanks sancties tegen die landen. Menig topfunctionaris in Rusland zou hem hebben geholpen en van hem hebben geprofiteerd.

De bekende advocaat Robert Amsterdam, die onder anderen de gevangen voormalige olietycoon Mikhail Khodorkovsky bijstaat, stelt in de Britse krant Daily Telegraph dat Bout 'diep is geworteld in de Russische 'schaduwstaat'. Hij heeft geweldig veel informatie over hoe die schaduwstaat werkt en handelt met Venezuela, Iran en landen in Azië. Het zou een coup van de Amerikaanse inlichtingendienst zijn als Bout zich zou laten ondervragen.'

Maar dat doet Bout nog niet, zei hij zelf tegen persbureau Ria Novosti. 'Er werd mij een lagere straf aangeboden en de mogelijkheid om mijn familie naar de VS te halen als ik alles zou vertellen over mijn contacten in Rusland en andere landen. Maar ik weet niets van de onderwerpen waar zij in geïnteresseerd zijn.' Of Bout inderdaad op zijn tong is blijven bijten, zal morgen duidelijk worden.

Bout claimt slechts een verhuurder van vrachtvliegtuigen te zijn, maar onderzoekers die hem volgden, schetsen een avonturier zonder angst, nooit te beroerd om zelf af te reizen naar een door oorlog verscheurd afzetgebied. Bouts leven stond model voor de Hollywoodfilm Lord of Warmet Nicolas Cage. Hij runde diverse vliegtuigbedrijven. Die vliegtuigen werden gebruikt voor de vermoede wapensmokkel, maar ook verhuurd aan de VN en het Rode Kruis voor humanitaire hulp in Afrika en aan het Amerikaanse leger voor het transport van goederen en manschappen naar Irak bij de daar in 2003 begonnen oorlog. Bout zou ook voor de VN-vredesmacht in Afghanistan troepen en goederen hebben verplaatst. Het Nederlandse ministerie van Defensie wil niet zeggen van welke transportbedrijven in die tijd gebruik werd gemaakt.

Wie nu zijn naam intypt in Google, krijgt meer dan 400.000 hits. Reden voor de rechter om de juryleden een Google-verbod te geven, om vooringenomenheid te voorkomen. Bout staat morgen terecht voor een poging luchtdoelraketten te leveren aan de Colombiaanse rebellenbeweging FARC. Hij kan daar levenslang voor krijgen. Als hij meewerkt kan er een schikking komen, maar zal hij naar verwachting nog steeds decennia achter de tralies zitten. Agenten van de Amerikaanse anti-drugspolitie DEA deden zich voor als afgezanten van de FARC. Bij een laatste bijeenkomst in Bangkok meenden de agenten genoeg bewijs te hebben verzameld en tipten ze de Thaise politie dat Bout zich in het plaatselijke Sofitel bevond. Na 2,5 jaar procederen in Thailand leverde dat land hem vorig jaar augustus uit aan de VS. De kans dat Bout wordt veroordeeld is groot, zegt Douglas Farah, tegenwoordig consultant en vroeger verslaggever in West-Afrika van de Washington Post. Hij is co-auteur van de biografie over Bout, Merchant of Death. 'Het is een sterke zaak tegen Bout, er is heel veel bewijs.' Ook is er een duidelijk precedent: Monzer al-Kassar (zie kader). Farah: 'Hij kwam met bezwaren die Bout waarschijnlijk ook op zal voeren, maar die zijn verworpen.'

Medio jaren negentig 'ontdekte' Antwerpenaar Johan Peleman, onderzoeker voor de VN, Bout als wapenleverancier aan diverse Afrikaanse landen. De in Dushanbe in het huidige Tadzjikistan geboren luitenant in het Sovjet-leger wist toen de Sovjet-Unie in 1991 ineenzeeg en hij zijn congé kreeg bij het leger, de hand te leggen op grote partijen wapens en Antonov-transportvliegtuigen bij half verlaten, door corrupte legerofficieren gerunde bases. 'Je had al een Antonov voor 15.000 dollar', weet Peleman.

Bout ontpopte zich als een logistiek genie, die tonnen wapens wist te verplaatsen zonder dat het opviel. Ook als het ging om betalingen was Bout creatief. Hij ruilde de wapens niet alleen voor geld, maar ook voor diamanten, uranium, kobalt of andere grondstoffen. Peleman: 'Hij heeft nog vliegtuigen verkocht aan rebellenleider Mbemba in Congo in ruil voor een partij koffie.'

Monzer al-Kassar ging Bout voor

Monzer al-Kassar, bijgenaamd 'de Prins van Marbella', is een wapenhandelaar van Syrische afkomst. Hij smokkelde al wapens in de jaren tachtig en werd onder andere genoemd als 'fixer' in het Iran-Contra-schandaal. Ook zou hij wapentransporten hebben georganiseerd naar Somalië. Zijn bijnaam dankt hij aan zijn opvallende verschijning en zijn gigantische huis in Marbella, het Spaanse kustdorp populair bij horeca-ondernemers, bordeelhouders en andere meer avontuurlijke entrepreneurs. Al-Kassar is in 2006 opgepakt door DEA-agenten, die zich ook bij hem voordeden als afgezanten van de FARC. Al-Kassar is in 2008 veroordeeld tot 30 jaar cel.

Vermoedelijk zijn sommige mensen in Rusland een beetje bang voor alles wat Bout weet en wat hij kan vertellen. Rusland doet stevig haar best Bout in ieder geval de hand boven het hoofd te houden.

De uitlevering van de vermoedelijke Russische wapenhandelaar Viktor Bout aan de Verenigde Staten is "een extreem onrecht" en Rusland zal hem "blijven steunen met alle mogelijke middelen". Dat meldt de Russische minister van Buitenlandse Zaken, Sergej Lavrov, dinsdag.

"De zaak is een voorbeeld van extreem onrecht", aldus Lavrov tijdens een persconferentie in de Keniaanse hoofdstad Nairobi. Rusland zal hem dan ook blijven steunen, zo luidt het verder. Het Russische ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken beschouwt de uitlevering als "illegaal" en ontdaan van elke "rationele verklaring". "Er bestaat geen twijfel over dat de illegale uitlevering van Bout het gevolg is van enorme politieke druk van de Verenigde Staten op de regering en justitie van Thailand", zo luidt het bij het ministerie.

Bout werd dinsdag na een juridische strijd van 2,5 jaar door Thailand uitgeleverd aan de Verenigde Staten. Bout, een voormalige piloot in het Sovjetleger, werd in maart 2008 in Bangkok gearresteerd, nadat hij door Amerikaanse agenten die zich voordeden als Colombiaanse Farc-rebellen, in de val werd gelokt. De man wordt ervan beschuldigd een vloot cargovliegtuigen te hebben gebruikt om wapens te vervoeren naar Afrika, Zuid-Amerika en het Midden-Oosten. (VIM)

Thailand heeft wapenhandelaar Viktor Bout uitgeleverd aan de Verenigde Staten. Hij is momenteel onderweg naar de VS. Dat land verdenkt de Rus van terroristische activiteiten.

Bout staat bekend als de 'koopman van de dood'. Hij zou als wapenhandelaar onder meer hebben geleverd aan de Colombiaanse terreurbeweging FARC, de Liberiaanse leider Charles Taylor en beide partijen in de burgeroorlog in Angola.

Speciaal vliegtuig
Hoewel hij al jarenlang werd gezocht, wist Bout uit handen van de autoriteiten te blijven. Hij werd in 2008 in Thailand gearresteerd na een undercover-operatie door Amerikaanse agenten.

Na zijn arrestatie begon een juridische strijd om hem uitgeleverd te krijgen aan de VS. Uiteindelijk besliste een rechter eind oktober dat de Rus aan de VS kon worden overgedragen. Onmiddellijk nadat de Thaise premier Abhisit daar gisteren mee had ingestemd, werd Bout op een Amerikaans vliegtuig gezet dat al dagenlang op hem had staan wachten.

Onschuldig
Rusland heeft zich verzet tegen de uitlevering van Bout aan de VS en achter de schermen flink druk uitgeoefend op Thailand en de VS. Volgens Moskou is de voormalige luchtmachtofficier een onschuldige zakenman.

Ook de 43-jarige Bout zelf houdt vol nooit wapens te hebben verkocht.

AMSTERDAM - Een Thais hof heeft de aanklachten wegens witwassen en fraude tegen de vermoedelijke Russische wapensmokkelaar Viktor Bout laten vallen. Omdat Bout niet langer in Thailand vervolgd wordt, staat niets een uitzetting naar de Verenigde Staten meer in de weg.

Bout zou een van 's wereld meest beruchte wapenhandelaren zijn. Hij zit al sinds maart 2008 vast in een Thaise gevangenis.
Washington drong bij Bangkok aan op de uitzetting van Bout, die in de VS gezocht wordt voor terrorisme.

Een Thais hof gaf hiervoor op 20 augustus toestemming, maar de uitzetting liep vertraging op doordat in Thailand extra aanklachten tegen de Russische verdachte moesten worden behandeld.

Het strafhof in de Thaise hoofdstad zei de zaak te laten varen wegens gebrek aan bewijs.

Misschien wel 's werelds grootste illegale wapenhandelaar ooit (aka Merchant of Death, zie de film Lord of War (2005)) lijkt eindelijk aan het kortste eindje te trekken. Het zal niet veel veranderen maar is toch erg goed nieuws.

Well, it is a day I had long predicted would never occur, but I have never been happier to be wrong. A Thai appeals court today ruled the Russian weapons merchant Viktor Bout could be extradited to stand trial in the United States.

Bout not only supplied the Taliban and the FARC in Colombia, both designated terrorist organizations. He also helped arm some of the most murderous regimes and groups in Africa (Charles Taylor, Mubut Sese Seko the RUF, UNITA etc.) and the genocidal regime in Sudan. These actions are detailed in my book, with Stephen Braun, Merchant of Death: Money, Guns, Planes and the Man Who Makes War Possible (Wiley 2007).

Bout should be extradited in about a week, although the Russian government has already made clear it will do what it can to slow the process even further. There is, under Thai law, no further appeal allowed of this ruling.

Bout's extradition request is based on an elaborate and successful operation by the DEA's Special Operations Division, where informants posed as representatives of the FARC seeking to buy weapons to fight in Colombia, and specifically to kill Americans. Bout took the bait and arrived in Bangkok March 2008 with a laptop full of pictures of the toys he could deliver to them, including unmanned drones, RPGs and the promise of surface-to-air missiles.

When he finished his presentation and sales pitch he was arrested by Thai police, having said more than sufficient to build a case. He then spent the next 2.5 years fighting extradition to the United States, where similar cases, using similar tactics, have led to quick convictions.

Bout must be understood in the context in which he emerged as a singularly important purveyor of weapons. A gifted linguist and a businessman far ahead of his time, he married an aging Soviet air fleet with access to virtually abandoned stocks of weapons in Soviet bloc and built an empire as a one-stop shop for virtually anything. His ties to Soviet military intelligence, his personal skills in negotiating with some of the world's most brutal thugs, all helped him along the way.

His business sense, and willingness to fly anything licit and illicit (gladiolas, frozen chicken, food relief, AK-47s and RPGs), made him a pioneer in his field.

But he was enabled by a weak or non-existent international legal structure that allowed much of his activity, no matter how morally reprehensible, to remain legally in a gray area. Governments (particularly the U.S, British and French) and the United Nations used his aircraft long after it was known who he was and what types of business he was engaged in.

In the end, although more firmly attached back to the Russian intelligence structure, his willingness to deal with anyone cost him his freedom.

But only because an unusually dedicated, small group of men and women, stretching from the end of the Clinton administration to the Bush and Obama teams, made it happen.

The DEA, NSC, State Department, intelligence community and Pentagon all have members in that tenacious group that simply refused to let the matter go. A tip of the hat to that cadre, many whom I have had the privilege of knowing, for the commitment it took to make this day happen. It took more than a decade, but in the end it seems one of the really bad actors on the international stage, responsible for escalating the carnage in wars the world over, will finally stand trial thanks to your efforts.
