Die Armata T-15 IFV ziet er uit als een gevaarlijk speeltje. Maar het gewicht van 50 ton , vergeleken met 40 ton van de Armata T-14 MBT een zwaar gewicht.

Naar aanleiding van de Russische ervaringen in Syrie hebben ze een aantal voertuigen/ wapens mee terug genomen naar Rusland en daar proeven op gedaan. Het gaat hier van Humvee's tot MRAV's en ook een hoop (zelf gemaakte) artillerie en mortier systemen.

Ze hebben de voertuigen bestudeerd en gekeken naar de verschillende pantsers die toegepast zijn en op een aantal voertuigen ook testen gedaan met hun munities.
Een van de geteste voertuigen is een Panthera F9 van Minerva Special Purpose Vehicles uit Dubai, de test is uitgevoerd met 125 mm BPS munitie hieronder de foto's.

Volgens mij wel een slag groter dan de BvS-10's , meer het formaat van de Bronco ATTC uit Singapore maar zelfs nog groter dan die.

Portuguese Army boosts ATGM capability



The Portuguese Army is boosting its mobile anti-tank capability with five 8x8 General Dynamics European Land Systems Pandur II armoured anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) carriers.

The army's vehicle-based ATGM capability previously comprised MILAN and M220A1/TOW 2A series missiles carried by light vehicles and M901A1 Improved TOW Vehicles (ITVs).

The new Pandur II ATGM platform features a protected weapon station with STANAG 4569 Level 4 protection, mounting a manually operated Raytheon Missiles Systems Tube-Launched, Optically Tracked Wire-Guided, Improved Target Acquisition System (TOW ITAS) missiles, as well as a weapon station incorporating six built-in M27 periscopes and a 12.7 mm M2HB machine gun (MG) for self-protection.

Compared with earlier vehicles, the Pandur II ATGM platform has benefited from new add-on armour, deflectors for missile launch tube and 12.7 mm MG, blast deflectors and limiting stops, as well as relocation of the Elbit Systems TDS laser warning system, winch pulley, and smoke grenade launchers.

Internally, the vehicle is outfitted with an M159A1 tripod to provide a stable platform for the TOW ITAS during dismounted operations, storage for 10 missiles, and nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) protection masks for the crew that are linked to the vehicle's life support system.

The TOW ITAS comprises the Advanced Composites M22 missile tube that can launch TOW 2A, TOW 2B Aero, and TOW BB missiles with first round hit capability of up to 3,750 m against stationary or moving targets.

It is also outfitted with a target acquisition subsystem incorporating a thermal imager based on Standard Advanced Dewar Assembly II (SADA II) focal plane array technology, day-sight with aided target tracker and eye-safe laser rangefinder, as well as SADA II linear cryocooler unit and eyepiece assembly, M83 traversing unit with handles, and a fire-control subsystem.

The crew comprises the driver, commander/gunner, missile gunner, and missile loader.

KMW expands Dingo protected vehicle family

Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) has updated its Dingo family of protected vehicles with the 6x6 Dingo 2 Heavy Duty (HD) platform.

The original Dingo is a 4x4 vehicle based on the Mercedes-Benz UNIMOG chassis. More than 1,000 vehicles have been manufactured for the home and export markets with customers in seven countries.



In contrast, the Dingo 2 HD is based on the UNIMOG FGA20 chassis and features increased payload with a maximum gross vehicle weight of up to 20,000 kg. A raised roof line to the rear of the commander's and driver's position increases its volume for mission flexibility, while a central tyre inflation system is fitted as standard to improve cross-country mobility.

PSM details Puma AIFV upgrades

The German Army's Puma armoured infantry fighting vehicle (AIFV) will be upgraded in two key steps that Projekt System & Management GmbH (PSM) calls Puma S1 and Puma S2.

PSM is a joint venture of Rheinmetall and Krauss-Maffei Wegmann.

Puma S1 covers command-and-control, situational awareness, and enhanced anti-tank capability; S2 adds a killer-killer capability.

For S1, the Puma's open electronic architecture will allow a PRC117 satellite embedded radio system to be installed, as well as the latest software designed radios that, according to PSM, will "enable more effective communication during joint task force operations".

Situational awareness is to be improved by replacing current black-and-white cameras with thermal and colour cameras to provide an all-weather capability with information displayed at the commander's, gunner's, and driver's stations, as well as on screens for the dismounts.

An additional improvement for the 360° situational awareness system is to incorporate fuzed-image technology so that "every member of the crew is actively involved in reconnaissance tasks when mounted", the company said.

The driver also has a new day/night front and rear thermal camera system.

The S1 firepower upgrade is designed to enable Puma to engage main battle tanks (MBTs) and other targets at long range. Accordingly, a twin launcher for the EuroSpike Long Range anti-tank guided weapon (ATGW) LR1 will be integrated externally on the turret's left side. This was fully qualified over a two-year period under a EUR68 million (USD79.4 million) contract, with the system installed on two of the original series production Puma AIFVs.

Targets can be engaged with EuroSpike LR1 by the commander or gunner using their standard control handles and the already installed monitor systems.
