Zou goed kunnen zag gisteren op youtube een aankondiging van de lynx 120mm op Eurosatory je zag onder een blauw afdekkleed een voertuig op de stand van Rheinmetall. Wilde het hier posten maar zag dat er al het een en ander over dit voertuig hier op het forum staat en dus besloten om het niet te doen, want je zag in feite weinig, behalve dat er schijnbaar ook een doorontwikkeling van de CV90-120 is, vond de koepel wel mooi dacht zo van past toch ook op BOXER. Andere mogelijkheid is een SPAAG op basis van een IFV

Een Lynx versie waarin een 120mm mortier van Rheinmetall is geïntegreerd?

Ze hebben het over een nieuw ''dier'' dat aansluit bij de familie.

De familie volgens de video:

Het moet haast wel dat ze een compleet nieuw voertuig gaan onthullen, ik verwacht niet dat het een door ontwikkeling is van de KF41 / Lynx.

Het zou toch een gigantische stunt zijn als ze met een nieuwe MBT op de proppen komen

Een nieuwe MK41 ontwikkeling?

Een nieuw MBT ontwerp zou een stunt zijn, maar zal een bom leggen onder de Frans / Duitse samenwerking.
( ik denk dat het toch niks wordt om tot 1 ontwerp te komen  )

Hanwha Defense pushes to equip Australian army with its AS21 Redback IFV

Park Jae-hyuk reports in The Korea Times that Hanwha Defense appears to be going all out to win a $18 billion contract to supply AS21 Redback infantry fighting vehicles to Australia, where it is set to build its factory to produce the K9 Thunder self-propelled howitzer, according to industry officials. Hanwha Defense is expected to accelerate its efforts to convince the Australian government to choose its Redback over Rheinmetall's Lynx KF41 for the LAND 400 Phase 3 infantry fighting vehicle project.

During South Korean President Moon Jae-in's visit to Australia in December 2021, Hanwha Defense signed a contract to set up a facility for producing its self-propelled howitzers and ammunition resupply vehicles, Park Jae-hyuk recalls. In late March 2022, one of the three Redbacks that finished testing in Australia was also brought back to South Korea for the Army's 11th Maneuver Division to operate the armored vehicle on a trial basis over the next two months. The Australian government is scheduled to choose the preferred bidder next June, but some local news outlets reported that the selection will be finished before the country's federal election in May.

Hanwha Defense said it is considering enabling the K9 factory to produce the AS1 Redback, depending on the outcome of its competition with Rheinmetall, Park Jae-hyuk reports. If the Korean firm wins the bid, it will also suggest the export of made-in-Australia Redbacks to the European market. For these plans, Hanwha Group will organize a consultative group called Hanwha Forum during the first half of this year to have talks with the Victoria State Government about business cooperation and investment plans regarding the construction, space and financial sectors, as well as defense technologies. According to the company, its new factory is expected to create over 300 new jobs in the region, as it has already signed contracts with over 50 local suppliers to use their components.

EOS demonstrates integration of its R800S C-UAS weapon station on US AMPV tracked armored  ( was de EOS R800 RWS (in het begin) ook overwogen voor de Boxer IFV door NL ? )

According to pictures published on the Twitter account of Ronkainen on April 8, 2022, the Australian-based company EOS has demonstrated the integration of its R800S remotely operated weapon station fitted with an EchoGuard 3D radar, mounted on the new AMPV (Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle) that will replace the M113 family in service with the U.S. Army.



With its R800S remotely operated weapon station mounted on an AMPV (Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle), the Australian-based company would like to demonstrate a new C-UAS (Counter-Unmanned Aerial System) solution armed with one Mk44S 30mm Bushmaster automatic cannon and fitted with an Echodyne's EchoGuard 3D radar used to detect and track drones.

The Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) is a family of tracked armored vehicles designed and developed by the company BAE Systems to replace the Vietnam War-era and legacy M113 tracked Family of Vehicles in service with the U.S. Army. The first batch of AMPVs wee delivered to U.S. Army 2nd Armored Brigade, Third Infantry Division at Fort Stewart for initial operational testing in January 2022.

The R800S is a new generation of remote weapon stations designed and developed by the company EOS. The standard configuration of the R800 is armed with one Northrop Grumman Bushmaster Mk44S 30mm automatic cannon, one M240B 7.62mm machine and anti-tank launchers for American-made Javelin re-and-forget anti-tank missile or Spike Israeli anti-rank guided missile.

The EchoGuard is an ultra-low SWaP ESA radar that detects and tracks drones in unauthorized areas. EchoGuard rapidly and accurately slews other sensors such as PTZ optical cameras for continuous eyes-on-object, even at high zoom levels and while tracking fast-moving targets.

The EchoGuard radar has been designed to be easily integrated with other sensors and existing video management systems (VMS). It has a field view of 120° in azimuth and 80° in elevation, and can simultaneously track 20 aerial targets.

Rheinmetall to possibly supply Lynx KF41 and Marder 1A3 IFVs to Greek Army

In addition to the modernization of the Greek Leopard tanks, Rheinmetall is interested in the future program of new Toma for the Greek army. As DefenseReview.gr reported on August 19, 2021, the German proposal for the supply of Lynx KF41 and used Marder 1A3 IFVs has raised high interest in Greece.

Rheinmetall's proposal for the Greek Amy includes a procurement program of a total of 170 KF41 Lynx IFVs and 200 Marder 1A3s. The German company already has about 200 Marder 1A3s ready for delivery. Simultaneously with the acquisition of used Marders at a cost of around 500,000 euros per modernized vehicle, the Greek army would get a very durable and modern vehicle with a number of proposed improvements (new turret, new laser range finder, new armor).

The Marder 1A3 is an upgraded version of the Marder family of tracked armored Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFV). The A3 upgrade program began in 1988, with Thyssen-Henschel being awarded a contract to upgrade 2,100 Marder 1 A1/A2 vehicles to the A3 standard at a rate of 220 vehicles a year. The first upgraded vehicles were delivered to the German army on 17 November 1989. In 2000, Thyssen-Henschel became Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH to continue the maintenance and upgrades of the Marder IFV family. The Marder 1A3 is the current standard IFV used by the German armed forces but it will be replaced by the new Puma IFV in the next few years.

In parallel with the two proposals for the acquisition of new and used material programs (modernization of Leopard tanks and Supply of KF41 and Marder 1A3 IFVs), Rheinmetall's proposal includes financing through lending as well as a series of industrial investments in Greece, so that there would be the best possible transfer of know-how and domestic added value. In the same facilities that will be built from scratch, construction works of trucks and a number of vehicles for the Greek Army may take place, DefenceReview.gr assumes.

Finally, another potential program from Rheinmetall in which the company has to present excellent proposals and options is the complete upgrade of the Army's rolling stock.

The German proposals have been evaluated very positively by the Greek Army as well as by the political leadership because flexible financial solutions are foreseen as well as large participation of the Greek defense industry with investments in the country.

Zal wel een eerlijke aanbesteding zijn geweest dan. CV90 is een topvoertuig. Zou zelfs geschikt zijn voor korps mariniers wegens arctische capaciteit. Zitten speciale kachels in en brede tracks met lage bodemdruk. En ja ook die van ons hebben dat.

The MoD has a £5.522 billion contract with General Dynamics Land Systems UK (GDLS-UK) for the design, manufacture and initial in-service support of 589 Ajax armoured vehicles.
