UKRAINE – HIGH MOBILITY ARTILLERY ROCKET SYSTEMS

WASHINGTON, May 10, 2024 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible emergency Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Ukraine of High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems and related elements of logistics and program support for an estimated cost of $30 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.

The Government of Ukraine has requested to buy three (3) High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS). The estimated total cost is $30 million, which will be funded by the Government of Germany on behalf of Ukraine.

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES – HIGH SPEED ANTI-RADIATION MISSILE (HARM) CONTROL SECTION MODIFICATION (HCSM) UPGRADE

WASHINGTON, May 7, 2024 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of the United Arab Emirates of High Speed Anti-Radiation Missile Control Section Modification Upgrade and related equipment for an estimated cost of $144 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.

The Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has requested to buy up to one hundred forty-nine (149) WCU-33/B High-Speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM) Control Section Modification (HCSM) upgrade kits. Also included are high bandwidth HSCM telemetry kits loaned for integration support to be used in CONUS use only. This includes HARM Control Section containers; encryption devices; software and mission data support; test flight and live-fire range support; HARM support and test equipment; spare parts and repair and return support; publications and technical documentation; personnel training and training support; design and construction; U.S. Government and contractor engineering, technical, and logistics support services; and other related elements of logistical and program support. The estimated total cost is $144 million.

MALAYSIA – SNIPER ADVANCED TARGETING PODS

WASHINGTON, May 6, 2024 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Malaysia of Sniper Advanced Targeting Pods and related equipment for an estimated cost of $80 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.

The Government of Malaysia has requested to buy ten (10) AN/AAQ-33 Sniper Advanced Targeting Pods. Also included are technical data and publications; personnel training; software and training equipment; U.S. Government and contractor engineering, technical, and logistics support services; and other related elements of logistics and program support. The estimated total cost is $80 million.

KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA – BLANKET ORDER TRAINING

WASHINGTON, April 30, 2024 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of Blanket Order Training and related elements of logistics and program support for an estimated cost of $250 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has requested to buy additional blanket order training for Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) that will be added to a previously implemented case whose value was under the congressional notification threshold. The original Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case, valued at $37 million ($0 in Major Defense Equipment (MDE)), included blanket order training for the RSNF, including: precision targeting, collateral damage reduction, core technical and professional development training, ship repair facility maintainer and language proficiency courses, and professional military education provided by the U.S. Navy. This notification is for the entire blanket order training with an estimated total cost of $250 million.

150 stuks AARGM-ER met extra's kost hen +/- 500 miljoen USD.

Combineer dit met de eerder gekochte JASSM-ER's en de KLU is weer voorzien van een set hig-end wapen systemen voor de F-35.

De KL komt ongetwijfeld snel aan de beurt als er een nieuw kabinet gevormd is en dat weer kan besluiten over dit soort aankopen. Tegen de tijd dat ze een kabinet geïnstalleerd hebben kan er weer gekeken worden naar Prinsjesdag en een nieuwe DMP overzicht.

Een tankbataljon was inderdaad een andere goede geweest. Dat kan voor CLAS niet meer uitblijven. In ieder geval heeft CLSK nu eindelijk een echt SEAD wapen. Bij de F-16 MLU was de AGM-88 HARM mogelijk, maar die kregen zij nooit.

WASHINGTON, April 10, 2024 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of Multifunctional Information Distribution Systems and related equipment for an estimated cost of $101.1 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has requested to buy fifty (50) Multifunctional Information Distribution System-Low Volume Terminal (MIDS-LVT) Block Upgrade 2 (BU2) Terminals and one hundred (100) additional MIDS-LVT BU2 Retrofit Kits that will be added to a previously implemented case whose value was under the congressional notification threshold. The original Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case, valued at $12.6 million, included thirty-five (35) Multifunctional Information Distribution System Joint Tactical Radio System (MIDS JTRS) and twenty-four (24) MIDS-LVT BU2 Retrofit Kits. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has also requested a new FMS case that includes one hundred ninety-four (194) MIDS JTRS and thirteen (13) MIDS-LVT BU2 Terminals. This notification is for a combined total of two hundred twenty-nine (229) MIDS JTRS; sixty-three (63) MIDS-LVT BU2 Terminals; and one hundred twenty-four (124) MIDS-LVT BU2 Retrofit Kits.
