Ik heb uit betrouwbare bron vernomen. dat de volgende landen aanwezig zijn  op de Koksijde Airshow

en wij hebben 1 (één) F 16

Klopt, de tijden dat we beschikten over demo teams met meerdere jagers liggen alweer een hele tijd achter ons (dash four, wisky four), maar om nu met ons beperkte bestand jagers zoveel kostbare vliegtuigen los te maken van operationele inzet lijkt me niet echt verantwoord. Daar komen dan nog de gigantische kosten bij, het zou mij niet eens verbazen als het na de bezuinigingen einde demo team is in de huidige opzet.

Ace1 iig bedankt voor het attenderen, ik denk dat ik er van de zomer even een kijkje ga nemen.
Helaas hebben we ze zelf niet bij de luchtmachtdagen, dit heeft schijnbaar e.e.a. te maken met de late datum dit jaar, want een half jaar geleden deed het gerucht al de ronden dat ze naar NL zouden komen.

Overigens vergeet ik nog een Stunt team wat turboprop toestellen gebruikt, maar toch leuke dingen laat zien.

Dit schema klopt niet. Als je kijkt naar de maand juli, dan staat Koksijde niet vermeld.
Maar de data kloppen wel. Heb reeds tickets.

Ik kwam het schema van de Thunderbirds voor 2011 tegen, voor de spotliefhebbers
Ze zijn op 6-7 juli op Koksijde AB, Belgium

The US Air Force Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds, has announced their show schedule for the 2011 season.

Following winter training, the team begins the season in on February 20th with a flyover at the NASCAR Great American race - the Daytona 500. The teams will begin the airshow season on March 19-20 with a performance at Luke AFB in Arizona. Their season will conclude on November 12-13 at Nellis AFB in Nevada.

Demonstration sites are selected in support of the Department of Defense objectives and in the interest of the armed services with safety as the primary consideration. Performances greatly assist in the recruiting and retention goals for the military services, enhance esprit de corps among uniformed men and women and demonstrate the professional skills and capabilities of the Air Force to the American public and U.S. Allies.

The schedule posted to this blog is subject to change without notice and is weather permitting, for everyones safety.
