EADS, Partners To Supply Dutch Air Defense System

EADS and partners Oerlikon Contraves of Switzerland and Kongsberg of Norway won a contract to deliver an air defense system to the Netherlands, EADS said.
The Dutch Ministry of Defense awarded the contract, worth 85 million euros ($113 million) for EADS, after an international competition, Reuters reported. EADS will supply TRML-3D radars, EADS and Oerlikon will deliver mobile command-and-control operations centers, and Oerlikon will supply a digital radio network.
Kongsberg will supply six Advanced Surface-to-Air-Missile Systems II.
The contract calls for technical systems for the battle management command, control, communication, computers and information part of the Netherlands Future Ground Based Air Defense (FGBAD NL), EADS said in a statement.
"FGBAD NL supplements and completes the air surveillance command-and-control network and ensures the interoperability and compatibility of the air defense systems used by the armed forces in the Netherlands with those of their NATO partners," EADS said.
The system is designed to detect and assign targeting priorities to air threats such as helicopters, drones and cruise missiles, EADS said. It will also be used by crisis-response forces domestically and abroad.
Norwegian group Kongsberg said its share of the order was about 42 million euros, Reuters reported. A spokesman for Oerlikon Contraves' parent, Rheinmetall AG said its share was "significantly lower" than Kongsberg's.

FGBADS is een mixed and layered air defence systeem, bestaande radarsystemen een commando voering systeem en een shorad (Nasams of ieder ander buitenlandse shooter) en vshorad  (stinger manpad en stinger platform) wapensysteem. Deze systemen worden met een wireless wide area netwerk onderling verbonden.

Daarnaast wordt de Patriot aan dit systeem gekoppeld alsmede is uitwisseling met buitenlandse luchtverdedigingsstemen - zowel grondgebonden als awacs - mogelijk.

Ik weet niet veel over de technische aspecten van de HAWK en AIM-120 (AMRAAM) maar dat verdedigings systeem dat die AMRAAM af schiet klinkt mij ERG effectief in de oren.  :o

Dit gaat een iedergeval zeer waarschijnlijk bestaan uit:

-Stingers eventueel op platforms op MB's en Fenneks.
-Nassams(vervanger hawk vuurt AMRAAM raketten af)= een systeem uit Noorwegen.
-Patriot.
